This site is about the restoration of my 1984
series 1 Escort RS Turbo. Over the next few (ahem...........quite a few
actually) months the site will cover the repair of the bodywork,
electrical and mechanical systems. Repair will start with the body
followed by the electrical and finally the mechanical. Hopefully the
car will be as good as if not better than Ford intended as the aim is
functionality not originality. Therefore I am aiming to prevent as much
corrosion as possible and loads of sealer has been used in the seams and
also an abundance of sound deadening mats
All the body work has
been repaired by my mate Tony except the laborious tasks like scraping off
the under seal. |
